Why Country Life?

I beleive that a question like that has many different answer and the only answer that I can give is my own story. So why country life for me? I shall start by stating that for every positive there is a negative to living in the country.  For me the positive out weigths the negatives when it comes to the solitude of rural life.
At night it is dark, very dark, on a clear night the sky is covered with little dots of brightness, and every star in the sky is a speck of this glowing brightness. When the moon is full it shines down like a spot light illumanating every corner of the forest.
Sounds from the countryside play it's own unique symphony. Made up of birds, insects, leafs, nature at it's finest and at it's worst. Never is one season nor even day one the same as the next. It's having a private concert play for your enjoyment and allowing this music to rejuvenate the senses.
Everytime I step outsideI can feel nature in its puriest form. Other than the basic farm structures (which are not many) and my small abode there is no buldings in sight, no pavement, nothing that says this place is ouccupied by humans. The woodlands and pastures is my everyday scenery. My neighbors are the deer, a varity of birds, families of racoons and oppusums, wandering coyotes, turtles, toads and frogs  my pigs and chickens dogs and cats.
Since I do not work away from home my everyday contact with humans other than family can be non-extant, for some this could and would be a big negative, for me it is a positive. I now appreciate the time that I do spend with fellow humans and I am much more mindful of these moments. The peace and solitude that I experience daily really allows me to focus on people and be conscious of the time that I am spending with them.
Living smack dab in the middle of Nature keeps my world in balance and shows me the bigger more important picture of living. When I see a rabbit setting in the middle of the field eating its dinner I now have a deeper understanding of the struggles that a rabbit goes through everyday just in order to eat. This helps me to realize I am such a small part of this massive thing called nature, however small I may be I am not insignificant nor trivial, I am connected to that rabbit and to the deer the trees and the rivers. Mother nature is a very powerful teacher and by immersing myself in natures ecosystem I have not only learned so much about my true inner-self I have also learned how to be a better person with the understanding that just because I am human doesn't make me more important than the rabbit.

Spring

A wildflower alone in the field.

Opening its colorful petals.
To the morning sun
Dew from a moonlight dance
Drying in the soft breeze
Just a tender drop of rain
The teasing embrace of the radiant sun
Bestows it life.
Alluring scent draws you in.
Trance-induced swaying
With the music of nature.
Uncomplicated.
Simplicity at its finest.
